Kaley Cuoco is the first to admit that getting surprised can be embarrassing. But it won’t stop her from surprising people. Last week, the actress stopped by Marshalls in Tribeca to assist the store in unveiling its newest (and utterly non-embarrassing) initiative: the Marshalls Surprise Box.
A single box containing various Marshalls items was buried around each retail location, according to a press release. If a shopper finds it, they can keep the contents, ranging from purses to sunglasses to phone chargers. If you ask us, it’s a really Willy Wonka-like experience.
Do you have a favorite white T-shirt that isn’t see-through?
L’Agence makes my favorite line of T-shirts. They are just fantastic. But guess what? Gap T-shirts are also very remarkable. They’re perfect.
Can you put together the ideal high-waisted trousers ensemble for us?
“High-waisted jeans and a white T-shirt.” Tuck it in, then add a belt and loafers. How adorable are you?! That’s your day, and throw on a blazer when you go out at night. So elegant and so simple. I used to wear low-rise jeans, like the Frankie Bs and whatnot. I’ve switched to high-waisted trousers because they look better.
Kaley Cuoco is the white T-shirt queen. I may have mimicked her slightly. She’s always dressed to the nines in the best jeans and a T-shirt. You’ll see her [wear it] on a date, and then she’ll put on a high heel – she likes high heels, but I don’t. Kaley enjoys having a wedge. But she always appears to be at ease. Then there’s Diane Keaton, who turned menswear into the sexiest thing in the world. And the caps and the vast clothing.
Are there three items that you believe everyone should have in their closet?
“It’s a yoga pant, plain and simple.” An oversized, cozy jumper is fantastic, like one of those huge ones that make no sense yet. Then there was a white T-shirt.
Do you have a favorite pair of flats to wear?
“It’s a trainer.” I’m a huge fan of trainers. Nike has a white one that is ridiculously cute. It’s completely white, including the sole. I bought six pairs to have new ones because they get so dirty. People are waking up to the fact that no one wants to go around the city in heels. Therefore, all these companies and designers produce excellent, adorable trainers.
