They should be nauseating. There they are, Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin, two of the world’s most genetically blessed individuals, legs intertwined as they pose on a ’70s shag rug. There they are, holding hands in matching bathrobes between shots. These two literally refuse to lose touch with each other. And yet, somehow, it’s actually pretty damn cute.

For all their PDA, online and IRL, there’s still a sense of mystery to Dylan, the 26-year-old former child actor turned adult actor and mead entrepreneur, and Barbara, the 25-year-old model who has been one of the most in-demand faces in the world for nearly a decade, as a couple. There are still many specifics unanswered. Most essentially: How did they even meet? Well, as far as love stories go, it’s a modern classic: Boy meets girl at a party. Girl follows boy on Instagram. Boy slides into those DMs.

“He slid into my DMs,” Palvin confirms, situated on a couch somewhere in Staten Island, New York, where the pair have just wrapped their first photo shoot together. “She followed me, so I was like, I guess I’ll give her something. And I slid into her DMs,” Sprouse says. “I was like, ‘Hey, I don’t know if you’re in New York for very long, but we should hang out if you want to. Here’s my number.’ And she didn’t message me for six months.”

The 27-year-old actress admitted that when she is away from glamorous red carpet events or not on set in front of a camera, she will opt for minimal mascara, keep her hair down and "doesn't really do a lot" with her beauty routine in general. She told InStyle: "In my day-to-day life, I'm pretty simple. I let my hair be natural and down, and then maybe a little mascara and some concealer when I break out. And I love blush. But other than that, I don't really do a lot."

But when it is time for the the 'Euophoria' star to get ready for a public event, she enlists the help of an entire glam team and she has various different strategies to achieve the look that she wants to present to the world. She said: "I have an amazing glam team [Melissa Hernandez and Glen Coco], who I have relied on heavily. I don't know how to do half the stuff they do. They're both incredible artists. We definitely work as a unit, including Molly Dickson, my stylist. We all communicate and collaborate. We're like, 'Okay, is this gonna be a hair moment? Is this gonna be a wardrobe moment? Maybe it's a makeup moment.'

"We all create mood boards, and we pass them around for every event. We're all very hands on."Ultimately, the 'Anyone But You' actress thinks of her personal fashion sense as "casual, comfortable, and cute" and made sure to take home some of her jeans that she wore a lot of on the second season of 'Euphoria' because they were a "perfect" fit for her.

She said: "Casual, comfortable, and cute."On Euphoria season two, I took a lot of Cassie's jeans because they were perfectly tailored to me. But I don't really keep much fashion-wise from my characters, because I don't like to bring my characters into my personal life. And so I've never really thought about taking a lot of clothes from them. Maybe I should."

The iconic duo play the muse and the admirer for Dress to Express, a new campaign and platform from retailer Express.Image may contain Cole Sprouse Barbara Palvin Clothing Dress Evening Dress Formal Wear Suit Adult and Person

In the world of fashion, muses come in many forms. They captivate and delight; they smolder with compelling force. As integral to the work as the designer themself, the muse is both catalyst and conjurer, instigator and inspirer. Just as the warmth of spring coaxes forth new energy, the muse summons fresh ideas to the light.

With that in mind, fashion retailer Express tapped none other than iconic model Barbara Palvin to play the part of the muse in Dress to Express, a campaign marking the launch of a new platform this spring. In an assortment of endlessly appealing pieces from the brand’s latest collection—including tailored workwear, slinky gowns, double denim, and cozy knits—Palvin vamps and enthralls, wearing it all with playfulness and ease. “Being part of this campaign with Express felt natural because it celebrates individuality and self-expression,” Palvin explains. “Each piece in this collection is designed with comfort and confidence in mind—two key factors that influence my everyday style.”

Those pieces are sure to inspire plenty of fresh ideas of your own—especially as the brand continues to offer an effortless blend of everyday essentials and directional statements. Most enticing for the new season? Relaxed trousers that can be worn for both business and play; body-contouring tops with sleek silhouettes; and 50/50 rigid stretch jeans that combine structure with comfortability. Easily mixed and matched for every occasion—or worn powerfully on their own—they’re destined to summon your own creative force.

Of course, just as every look inspires the wearer to express their unique view, every muse requires an admirer—and an artist, too. Palvin’s actor husband, Dylan Sprouse, was happy to step in to play those parts. Dylan, as her eternal admirer, is the perfect fit for the brand’s new men’s pieces—including relaxed jeans, heavy-weight tees, and easygoing performance wear; while the photographer (our artist) captures their connection with an unflinching commitment to glamor. “I love the versatility of Express,” Dylan explains. “From casual everyday pieces to formal wear, they make it easy to look and feel good wherever you’re going.” Spoken like a true admirer indeed.
