Gal Gadot says Snow White was first time she had to audition "in a while"
"It was so much to shoot because it's so different from anything I've ever done.Wonder Woman herself still has to fight for a job from time to time, with Gal Gadot revealing her role in Snow White wasn't just handed to her. Gal is soon to appear in the live-action remake of the Disney classic, where she will star as the Evil Queen alongside West Side Story's Rachel Zegler, who will play Snow White.
Despite her success in the Fast & Furious franchise and the action flick Red Notice, Gal said she had to prove she had the pipes to sing the role; after all, it is a musical.Related: Gal Gadot explains how Wonder Woman led to Netflix's Heart of Stone Speaking to GQ in a video, she said: "It was the first time I had to kind of audition for a project in a while. They needed to make sure I can sing because this is a musical. So, for a month, I was working on the song, and then I auditioned, and we filmed the song, and I got the part, and it was very exciting."
Gal shared that it was a "delightful" challenge as the movie was so different to her other projects. She added: "It was so much to shoot because it's so different from anything I've ever done. It's so delicious and delightful, and I could really go big and theatrical."

Gal recently appeared in the new Netflix film Heart of Stone and has been rumoured to be heading to Themyscira once more in Wonder Woman 3.
She told ComicBook.com: "I love portraying Wonder Woman. It's so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James [Gunn] and from Peter [Safran], it is that we're gonna develop a Wonder Woman 3 together." Snow White will land in cinemas on March 22 2024. Heart of Stone is available to watch on Netflix.
